Anne Lyon
Active in Cabot, Arkansas
A.K.Lyon, (aka Anne), has been painting and drawing since 1st grade when she won a blue ribbon in the Akron City Show for her robin. She has taken art lessons off and on, in school, mail lessons from the Minnesota School of Art and other adult classes. But, she learned her passion for pastel at The Mansion Art Gallery in West Little Rock from Suzi Patton in 1997. Since then she has also begun to study watercolor and finds that still uniquely challenging. Her favorite subjects remain people “caught” in a special moment, or a location found on a fabulous vacation trip, and to highlight another passion for collecting, everything from flea market finds to lions (since Lyon is her last name!). Anne is a member of The Pastel Society and MidSouthern Watercolorists, where she is editor of the newsletter. Her paintings on this website are not for sale, but gives you an idea of what she can do as a commission of your own favorite photos of people, places or things.
