Agnes Irene Pierce Armstrong (1926-1991) was born in
Lowell, Arizona and grew up in the hills in and around the
Phelps-Dodge Mining Company (Lavender Pit) in Bisbee,
with her sisters, Pauline Pierce Banes and Alice Pierce
Chapman. She married Roy Lee Armstrong and moved to
Dublin, Texas where they made their home. She had two
sons, Roy Morris and Rodney. Her grandchildren were Todd
Armstrong (late), and his sister, Andrea Halloran whose
mother is Mignon. Rodney and Stormy's children were Stacy
and Bradley Armstrong. Agnes realized that she wanted to
paint later in life and began studying under various art
teachers in the Dublin, Arkansas area where she and her
husband Roy Lee lived all of their adult lives among many
friends and relatives.
