Zeek Taylor
Zeek Taylor is known for his stylized watercolors. Primarily
using a dry brush technique, he is able to achieve intricate
detail not often found in the medium. He favors transparent
paint but at times will also use gouache and metallic ink in
his work. Each piece is surrounded by a meticulously
hand-rendered border. He has been described as a
colorist with a keen sense of pattern. Subject matter
includes florals, still life, animals, and fantasy themes.
An award winning artist, Taylor's images have been
distributed worldwide as limited-edition prints by several
companies including the Franklin Company of Chicago. He
lives and maintains a studio in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Zeek Taylor, Artist Statement
"Working with watercolor, I often forsake the standard rules
imposed on the medium, exploring all possibilities, while
ever respectful of it's transparent and fluid properties. I
paint with greater concern for style over realism with a
focus on pattern and color theory. The one rule that I
adhere to is "break the rules," Zeek Taylor.
