While Judy Maurer enjoys the challenge of painting wildlife and the
human body, the natural landscape is her first choice. She finds
painting a lifelong journey, which is occasionally rewarding, often
frustrating, but always engaging.
Judy has been Artist-in-Residence at two national parks:
Arkansas's Buffalo National River and Maine's Acadia National
Park. She has taught classes for Fayetteville Adult Education in
Arkansas. She is also a Signature Member of both the Pastel
Society of America and Artists of Northwest Arkansas. One of her
pastels hangs in the permanent collection of the Albrecht-Kemper
Museum of Art in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Judy divides her time
between northwest Arkansas and Gold Canyon, Arizona.
