Daniel Adams teaches in the Department of Art and Design. He obtained his Master's of
Fine Arts from Steven F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas in 1987. He
teaches printmaking, bookbinding, letterpress, graphic design, plus history and aesthetic
courses. His work is widely exhibited and collected.
Adams uses printmaking as a natural form of expression. He is particularly fascinated with
the way that architecture speaks of human presence in the works. There is a dialog
betweeen artist and medium, each responds to the other. Adams must respond to the
resistance encountered with the grain of the wood. There is an ongoing give and take for
each to survive and flourish.
