Denise Lanuti
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and raised in California,
Denise Lanuti has been involved in art as long as she can
remember. She began by sewing beads onto clothing and
weaving beads into earrings and various pieces of jewelry. In
1991, she taught herself lampworking.
Always open to explore new expressions in art, she started to
dabble in mosaics. Dabbling turned to full-blown passion. In
2001, she attended the Scuola di Mosaico in Ravenna, Italy.
She returned again in 2002 for a floor mosaic class. Denise
makes mosaics in the Roman-Byzantine style. She enjoys
creating ancient reproductions and modern original mosaics.
In addition to her mosaics, Denise also does beadmaking
and glass fusing. For more information about Denise's
